Excerpt from 365 Days

This is an excerpt from a new writing project of mine. This is the rough draft. I haven't made any changes. This is just all raw thought. I hope you enjoy the concept as well as the style.

Day 1:

She danced around in the fire. The flames searing her heart. The fumes potent in a horrid stench of death. The hate overwhelming her every being. The rising through her. She dances. Dances. Dances. The dragon filled her world with fire and turned her passion into rage. The dragon must be defeated. She must destroy the dragon. He burned her. He promised he wouldn’t. He is the dragon it is in his nature.
The butterfly. The faerie goddess of natural forces. She knew he would burn her. She didn’t think he would burn her very soul. Her heart as it beats wildly and freely. Her very nature was destroyed by his breath. The attack wasn’t unintentional. The dragon wanted her to know that she is at his mercy. That he can destroy her and everything she holds dear inside of her on a whim.
His soul used to be beautiful. The mighty dragon. Fiery inside with the armor of blue and green. He was magnificent. He was glorious. He was the fire to warm the passion of the butterfly. Warmth and comfort. It all changed. He saw another dragon more glorious in his eyes than the butterfly. The red dragon with the burned out heart comforted his. The butterfly couldn’t light the fire. The dragon saw her as insignificant. He was no longer able to see her.
The butterfly grew stronger. She didn’t want him to see her anymore. She didn’t like what she saw inside of his spirit. His was sludge, grotesque. He was no longer magnificent. He was disgusting to the butterfly. He could no longer fly. She was above him. All he could do was breathe fire onto her world. He didn’t want the butterfly to fly around him. Showing him what he could no longer do but he desired her for the magik she possessed. He desired her for the power within her. His desire was selfish. He demanded what he wanted from her and refused to give anything in return. She deserved and earned the right to be loved and cherished by him. But all he saw was a tiny little butterfly. He wouldn’t accept her as a powerful force. The one that she is.
Dances. Dances. She continues to dance in the fire. Her wings fanning the flames. Higher they rise. Scorching the very sky above. Her vengeance for the dragon is great and powerful. She will make him feel his fire. She will make sure he feels the burn she has felt. Her love for him has turned to hate. Hate is the worst pain any being can ever feel. It is the feeling that buries us. It is the feeling that weighs on our hearts and our spirits. Hate is the darkness that overcomes the spirit and causes destruction. The hate the dragon must taste. The sacrifice will be bittersweet. He must stop breathing his fire onto her land. The pain of the destruction is too much to bear. He must stop.
And the dance stops. The energies have been sent. Her magik is great and the spell has been sent into motion. She must let things run their course. The dragon and the butterfly are connected. They are the same light. They are the same dark. They were one. Some connections just can not be broken. She loved him too passionately. The connection was reinforced by her very spirit. They were supposed to bring peace with nature. Balance all that was wronged. He failed his task. He was too afraid of what he didn’t understand. He wasn’t strong enough. She met him too soon. He wasn’t ready for her magik. He wasn’t ready for the desire she caused others. The butterfly is destined to be the Goddess of Natural Forces. Her magik is too great for weak spirits.
The butterfly. Wings of pink, green and purple. She continues to dance. She is a faerie with the body of a human. Her spirit is very different. Her spirit is raw. Her spirit is natural. Passion is the feeling she draws from. It is what drives her. Her essence is that of Aphrodite. A wonton lover with the wrath of the earth.  Her hair is the coppery red of the sunset. . Her penetrating eyes reach into your very spirit and take your breath away. Her shoulders are elegant and strong as that of nobility. Her small, perky breasts show what is wanted without greed. Her waist and hips give curve to a plumb ass ripe for sexual fantasies. There was no lacking in desire for this maiden, grown into a mother. As she grows, she will grow into the crone. She will become a triple goddess.
The forest is her home. Thick with nature is where her spirit thrives. The land of the green faerie and the other magikal creatures in her life. That is where the bear goes and visits her. The green faerie travels with him as his companion. They take the task of visiting others houses and bringing joy into their lives. The bear feels comforted by the butterfly faerie. She brings him peace by placing the earth around him like a comforting blanket, a mother’s warm embrace. He is a creature of nature. He is a powerful force much like the dragon. He has flicked her wings a time or two but bowed in her anger. He didn’t want to hurt her. She was powerful but delicate. She would not break but she would fight back. A shape shifter, she could become fearsome with her passionate rage. The bear didn’t fear her, but wanted better for her. He praised her and worshipped her as a rightful goddess.
In her received worship, she never underestimated the power in the swipe of a bear paw. A single strike could take her down, could wound her. She stayed cautious. The bear was always there to help clean up the mess left by the dragon. The last attack, the bear starting swatting at her wings while her spirit was on fire. The bear failed her. He stopped listening to her. He stopped seeing who she was truly.
The butterfly faerie was going to allow another destructive force to take away what she held dear. The dragon had done plenty. So had the other creatures before him. This would end…now.
And she dances naked in the moon light. The waning moon. The time of death. The time of the end of things. She twirls and dances in the moon light. Her magik grows with the moon. Dances. Dances. Dances.
